Happy Monday all! I hope you all have the greatest week ahead of you; I am destined to make this week awesome!
So, as some of you may know, I have lived in a stuffy, stinky dorm room with a girl that I have many differences with. This is a completely okay thing, but not if it is completely messing with your moods/actions. Do not live unhappy!
But, as of last week, my best friend and I got in some great news that we got a room together! We have been trying to make this happen for months now, but it has finally taken place! We have our new room up and going and we couldn’t be happier, even if we do only have a couple of months left here. Today, I would like to share with you all the finished product of our dorm room. Also, be sure to follow Alanah’s (my best friend) blog!
Starting off, this is an overview of what the room looks like. We decided to bunk our beds which really helps to save space. P.S we also bunked the beds together, without any extra help, but we highly recommend to have other people help, as it all is very heavy!!
Behind the door, we have this hanging tapestry thing that we picked up from Five Below. We also keep our keys on command hooks next to the door, along with a chalkboard where we like to write notes to each other.
Moving on, we stacked our dressers so that we would once again, have more room. Plus, it makes for a great place to put the TV to where we could both see it! The fake plant is from Ikea, the pink chihuahua (which makes me miss my little girl that’s at home) was a graduation gift. We use the TV for Netflix and Youtube ONLY.
This is our “kitchen” area, which is also our favorite spot of the whole entire room! OOH and we bought a hot plate today from Walmart and made some mac and cheese with hot dogs. YUM! The Christmas lights are all from Target, along with pretty much everything else.
For this part of the room, we tried to make it as bright as possible. The super fluffy chair is from…wait for it….Dollar General. I know, right? I had been looking for a chair like this for the longest time and one day I was in there with my mom just browsing and I came across it for only $25! I couldn’t pass it up, so I snagged it! The throw pillow, like everything else, is from Target.
Not much has changed on my desk. You can find it more in depth here! I am currently reading #Girlboss and I love it! I can relate to her in so many ways; it is a great read!
This is our closets… can you tell which one is mine? The one with the PINK of course! 💕
Lastly is Alanah’s desk. How cute is that caricatcher drawing!?
Be sure to give this post a like and don’t forget to follow! Hope to talk to you all again very soon!
