Since I am only home for one more day before I drive back to school, I figured now would be the best time to do a room tour: at home edition. If you’d like a dorm room tour, be sure to let me know!
Backstory of my room: I have lived in the same house my entire life (18 years) and I also have a couple siblings. They have all grown up and moved out, but as I am the baby, I am still here. My sister moved out about 2 years ago and when she did, I got her room. Which my brother had before her. So, long story short, this room has been through 6 different paint colors and about 17,000 splotches of nail polish on the carpet. I just recently painted the room a fresh, new shade of white a few days ago, so it still isn’t complete to me. I need to find curtains to hang, preferably pretty sheer white ones. But, since I do live in a dorm room at my school, I figured this will do for now!
This is the main over view of my room; as I said I am in desperate need of curtains!
When you first walk into the room, you see my vanity desk/gallery wall/full body mirror. This is my favorite part of my room, as it is very calm and cool.
When you turn right, you see my closet, where I took out the hideous brown doors and hung this white curtain instead, along with my nail polish rack (also one of my favorite things). The stool is an old brown one that we had laying around that I spray painted white and threw some material on. Also, I just recently decluttered my nail polish rack and believe it or not, I got rid of half of the old bottles!
Moving further right is just the back of my door and the bins under the nail rack, where I mainly store jeans and leggings.
This is an over view of my bed, which is from Nebraska Furniture Mart. My bedding is from Target and the hanging giant dreamcatcher is an old DIY I did. Next to my bed is where I have faux flowers from Hobby Lobby hung to make the room even more feminine.
Since I do have a toy chihuahua who is very small, I had a ramp built for her that attaches to my bed. It has carpet on it so she doesn’t slip and railings on the side so she doesn’t fall, even though she does chew on the top part of it, as you can tell. 😒 Yes, sure, judge, but I don’t know what we’d do without it. There’s no way she could jump onto the bed!
Moving along is the last part all zoomed up. My big mirror that I have stacked on top of a crate as to give off the illusion of the room being just a tad bit bigger. Inside the crate, I have a box with my Maid of Honor things I got from my sister, a VS bag where I store all of my body mists, deodorants, and perfumes, and an extra little box from Lilly Pulitzer. Next to that is just some of Tilly’s toys in a little basket from Target.
Let me know what you’d like to see next! XOXO
