As fall is coming to an end, I am realizing how fast time is going! Christmas is right around the corner and I haven’t even appreciated all of the great fall memories I have made this season. Where I live, fall doesn’t seem like a very long season anymore… normally only lasting about a month with true 60’s and beautiful leaves on the ground before it instantly turns cold and gray. Yay. Although I hate the cold, I love the Christmas season, but before I get started on that, I need to share these fall memories!
Camping is a tradition that my siblings and I love to partake during the month of October. We normally set up tents in a tiny town and Kansas and travel to neighboring cities to do some exploring. We had so much fun this year, although we were hit by a nasty thunderstorm. Something that was new this year with our trip is that I could finally bring my little pup and I believe that she had more fun than anyone else! As always, she was the star of the show.
Since the weather was quite chilly, I was finally able to bust out my Hunter rain boots, vests, and scarves. My green vest is from Target, along with the black sweater. The jeans are American Eagle and the scarf is from Forever 21 and is surprisingly really good quality. As for my sister’s outfit, most of it is from L.L. Bean. The only thing that isn’t is the flannel, which is from Target. We had so much fun on this trip and loved all of the sightseeing and activities we got to do in just three short days.
This year I was only able to make it to one pumpkin patch and that was with my work. 🙈 Time just went by so fast and the only opportunity I had to make it out to one was with a field trip that we took our students on. It was by far my favorite field trip we have ever been on and the kids enjoyed it just as much. What made it even better was that it had so many different activities for us all to do. Plus, we got free little pumpkins at the end which just put the cherry on top!
Growing up, I was raised in a very religious/Christian household and I was always told to read the Bible, but I never have yet finished it. As many of you know, I have been going through a really rough time in my life lately and the only thing that I was ever taught to turn to in a time of need is the Bible. Reading it for a just a little bit each night has been helping me feel more confident, happier, and safe. I enjoy watching Bible journaling videos on Youtube lately as they are so satisfying, so one of those is definitely on my Christmas list for this year! Do you all have any recommendations?!
