I NOW PRESENT TO YOU THE LONG AWAITED DORM ROOM TOUR!
Okay, so yes I know I’ve been saying I’d do one of these since I started up this blog, but I really am doing it. Finally.
*Backstory to my dorm: I live in a traditional dorm room with a roommate that I did not choose and that I have only said two words to in the whole year I’ve been living here (she is an odd ball). My dorm building is the oldest of them all here at MSSU and could really use some renovations, but we make it work with what we’ve got.
This is my side of the room! I would show you my roommates half, but it is super plain, messy, and her own personal space. As I spend quite a bit of time in my room, I wanted to make it a cozy space where I can be productive.
On my floor is this huge rug I got from Hobby Lobby for $30. The white fuzzy chair is surprisingly from Dollar General. I had been searching for one everywhere and one day I was in there just browsing and they had it there for only $20! The ottoman is a regular one that I DIY-ed to match my headboard and my makeup brush holder. I knew that I wanted my dorm colors to be blue, pink, and white, which is why I chose the fabric. I have my bed lofted, as there is more space in doing so.
Underneath my bed is where most of my things are stored. In the left drawers is where I keep food, snacks, and drinks. In the pink and white bin on top of that is where my cups/coffee cups are. Next to that is a little blue bin that has napkins, paper towels, and utensils. Moving on further right is my fridge and microwave. Check out what I like to stock in there here! The three drawers is where I keep my jeans, pants, leggings, and towels/extra bedding. On top of that is where I store some random shoes; booties, converse, Adidas, and Nikes.
Moving on is my desk area. I was Facetiming my boyfriend in this picture and didn’t even realize it! LOL My desk is where I do almost everything; eat, do makeup, study, and homework. The owl wax burner is from Target, along with pretty much everything else on the desk. I like to keep pictures up to make it seem more home-y and personalized.
The jewelry holder on the wall is actually a DIY I did from popsicle sticks.
Moving on to my closet/wardrobe, this is where I store more clothes, shoes, and extra necessities.
The white organizer comes in handy so often! Without it, I’d have a mess everywhere.
The closets aren’t really that small at my school; I have tons of t-shirts and leggings folded in the drawers, though, along with underwear, bras, socks, and pajamas.
On the bottom of my closet is where I keep my shower caddy when I’m not using it, along with my laundry basket/bag, and my Hunter rain boots.
Hope ya’ll enjoyed this little dorm tour! Let me know if you have any questions down below!
