LONG TIME, NO TALK!
It has been more than a month since anything has been posted from Trendingwithtrina and I promise that I have more than a million reasons as to why I took so much time off. Just know that I miss all of my readers and fellow blog friends so, so much! I feel as if I have been gone forever because I haven’t even been on social media at all, really. So much has happened in this last month that I plan to update you all on!
For starters, my grandpa/dad passed. My last post filled you all in a little bit, but other than that, I’d like to keep the rest in private. It has not gotten any easier if you were wondering; I am just learning more and more ways to deal with the situation and myself all at the same time. I am proud of how I have been dealing with it and am trying my best to have a positive outlook.
Going along with the month of August, work has been in full swing as the children are back in school. Spending many hours a day at work has been a great help with everything! I also started fall classes at a community college near home! I am only taking 9 credit hours this semester and am LOVING the classes that I have, which is making the semester feel as if it is going to be a good one. I am studying business and am taking marketing and a few business law classes. I must say, school is MUCH more enjoyable when you have a field of study picked out that you truly want. I feel like I want to constantly be engaged in lectures, notes, and don’t mind the homework. Once you find something that you love, you will feel the exact same way!
Even though my mood and spirit have been high in the last month, I did have an injury at work that messed up my health there for a little while and once I had finally healed from that, I caught a cold that has been going around all over. When can a girl catch a break?! 🤷🏼♀️
Since life has been so crazy and hectic lately and the only person that I truly find 100% comfort in anymore is my dog, I registered her as an emotional support animal and have been loving the new title! Anxiety has definitely become almost a daily mountain that I must climb and I have to say with the help from Tilly, I am able to get over it and remain calm, cool, and collected. It is times like these when you realize how truly special pets are and how important their roles are in our day-to-day life.
With the major changes in my immediate family, we have been left with many decisions as what to do in our near-future life. My boyfriend and I have decided to sign for an apartment and am moving in in the end of March! Super excited and I can’t say that I have not been doing a bunch of shopping and DIYs for the new place… I’ll have to fill you all in on those; special post?! Our theme/scheme of our new place is a little bit of everything; rustic, chic, industrial, and natural. The thing that I am excited about most is the decorating..who really wants to pay grown-up bills?
I had my first Pumpkin Spice Latte today for the season of FALL and I could not be more excited. Something about the drink just brings back memories of every year, which I think is the reason why I look forward to it so much. Not only are fall drinks out, but fall decor and everything else is, too! I have a camping trip planned in October and will be doing posts about that, as well. Also, Nashville THIS MONTH! It is my sister’s bachelorette party at the end of this month and we will all be heading out to Nashville for 4 days of who-knows-what. If you would like a post dedicated to this, let me know! I have been ordering things left and right for the party (many things I don’t think I should post on here) and am confident that the last weekend of September is going to be one that we NEVER forget!
Lastly, plans for coming back! I think about posting 24/7 but have needed my time away. I feel that this is the perfect time to come back and start posting a couple times a week (probably Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays). I hope you all can forgive me for falling off the face of the planet for awhile! What I really can’t wait for is to catch up on all of YOUR blogs and posts, so be sure to leave a link to your site down below and I would love to come and check you out. Thank you all so much for the kind words and support that I have been receiving since I took my time off; you all are such great internet friends. Also, leave suggestions of Fall posts that you would like to see and I will get right on it!
